In-Situ Bioassays

One of BMI's many capabilities involves in-situ toxicity testing. These tests are actually performed at the site. For example, in a river, they provide a more reliable estimate of impact than laboratory bioassays. In-situ tests can be done with various organisms, including invertebrates and fish. BMI uses the latest U.S. EPA and/or ASTM criteria for performing such tests, which produce data that are scientifically defensible.
